Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta 'Tour de France'

Built between 1956 and 1959, the 250 GT 'Tour de France' is the car that set Ferrari on its path to total GT dominance — roughly seventy-seven were made, clothed in lightweight aluminum by Carrozzeria Scaglietti to a Pinin Farina design and powered by the Colombo 3.0-liter V12 on triple Webers. It earned its name when Alfonso de Portago won the 1956 Tour de France Automobile, a six-day, 3,600-mile épreuve. This example came to us for a comprehensive restoration: the aluminum body taken back to bare metal and refinished, the V12 rebuilt and blueprinted in-house, the brightwork re-plated, and the cockpit returned to period-correct detail — a rare and demanding car brought back to concours condition.
