A Barchetta, reborn.
The 166 MM is the car that made Ferrari's name — a Mille Miglia winner whose feather-light "barchetta" body by Carrozzeria Touring gave an entire class of sports car its shape. Few open Ferraris are rarer, and fewer still carry coachwork this delicate.
This example came to our shop for a complete, down-to-the-chassis restoration. Every system underwent rigorous inspection, cleaning, repair and restoration. The hand-formed aluminum body was taken to bare metal, smoothed, and repainted in brilliant Ferrari Red. The Colombo V12 was rebuilt and blueprinted in-house, the brightwork re-plated, and the cockpit restored to period-correct detailing.
This was a demanding project that took many months of dedication and detail-oriented work.
