Munich's Finest Hour

Introduced in 1936, the 327 quickly rose to dominate European track competition at Le Mans, the Mille Miglia, and the RAC Tourist Trophy. Combining a 2.0-liter inline-six with a chassis of then-unmatched refinement, the 327 demonstrated prowess in handling, acceleration and top-end speed.

This example, one of just 462 built, arrived for a comprehensive restoration following decades in private ownership. The body was stripped, straightened and restored - finished in gray livery. The hemispherical-head engine was rebuilt in-house along with its intricate induction system (three down-draught carburetors feeding the crossflow head via complex inlet passages).

A car of towering historical significance, returned to the condition it commands.
