Munich's finest hour, returned.
The BMW 328 was the sports car that shocked the world. Introduced in 1936 and immediately dominant in competition — Le Mans, the Mille Miglia, the RAC Tourist Trophy — the 328 combined a sophisticated 2.0-litre hemispherical-head inline-six with a chassis of then-unmatched refinement. Its crossflow head, achieved without a conventional overhead camshaft, was a masterwork of engineering ingenuity. This example, one of just 462 built, arrived for a comprehensive restoration following decades in private ownership. The body was stripped and all aluminium panels carefully restored and refinished. The hemispherical-head engine was rebuilt in-house, with the intricate induction system — three down-draught carburettors feeding the crossflow head via complex inlet passages — painstakingly cleaned and restored. A car of towering historical significance, returned to the condition it commands.
