The Commission
A barchetta, reborn.
The 166 MM is the car that made Ferrari's name — a Mille Miglia winner whose feather-light "barchetta" body by Carrozzeria Touring gave an entire class of sports car its shape. Few open Ferraris are rarer, and fewer still carry coachwork this delicate.
This example came to our Texas coachworks for a complete, down-to-the-chassis restoration. Every system passed through our hands — the hand-formed aluminum body taken to bare metal, the Colombo V12 rebuilt and blueprinted in-house, the brightwork re-plated, and the cockpit retrimmed to original patterns.
It left our shop the way it left Touring's: light, correct, and ready to be driven hard.
